There is some bad news for lovers of hides and skin popularly known as ‘Ponmo’a delicacy of sorts in this part of the world.
There are indications that the Federal Government may have concluded plans to ban sale and widespread consumption of Ponmo according to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development,Akinwunmi Adesina.
Speaking at the 3rd joint anniversary of Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN) and Nigeria Institute of Animal Science held at the University of Ibadan today, he said there will be regulations that would check the consumption and sale of Ponmo which will help livestock farmers make money if the hides and skin are turned into leather.
If na joke make them stop am o….haba what will correct efo riro be without any Ponmo?(*sadface*)
