Thirty two year old Serena Williams has won the US open beating Danish professional tennis player Caroline Wozniacki ,a former World No. 1 on the WTA Tour. She beat Caroline Wozniacki in straight sets, 6-3 6-3 to win her sixth US Open and 18th Grand Slam title.
When the final ended, Serena dropped to her back behind the baseline, covering her hands with her face in obvious joy.Her first major trophy was in 1999, when she was just 17.
Asides winning the game, she also earned 4 Million Dollars, an all time record in tennis, 3 Million Dollars for the title, plus a 1 Million Dollar bonus for having had the best results during the North American summer hard-court circuit.

Until the U.S. Open, though, Serena Williams had not been at her best on her sport's biggest stages in 2014. She lost in the fourth round at the Australian Open, the second round at the French Open, and the third round at Wimbledon. So this is a major comeback for her in all ramifications.
This victory moves Serena to joint-fourth in the all-time list of major winners, alongside Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert.
