Nollywood Acts And Musicians Going Into Politics?

Hmnnn...it seems another trend is starting out in the entertainment industry as some Nollywood actors and musicians have indicated their interest in vying for public offices.

First off to make her intention known is Kenny Saint Best(KSB),who is one of the artistes responsible for putting Gospel music into the mainstream of Nigerian music.

She says she wants a seat in the Lagos State House Of Assembly come 2015 and plans to contest under the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC). She goes on to say her focus is on Youth Development in the state.

Now fast forward to 43 year old actress, Kate Henshaw who says she is aspiring to contest for the House of Representatives for Calabar Munical/Odukpani Federal Constituency under the PDP.

As for Desmond Elliot another Nollywood actor and director,he wants to run for office in a bid to give back to the society but I don't know which party he wants to run under yet.

I wish them all the best though and truly this won't be the first time people from the entertainment industry have crossed over into the political terrain. Remember former US president Ronald Reagan was an actor as well as Arnold Schwarznegger who became Governor of California from 2003 till 2010.
