Few days after Singapore Airlines was highly rated as one of the world's best carriers, one of their jets had a mishap caused by landing gear issues at Changi Airport yesterday.
The plane had been in service with Singapore Airlines since May 2009, and recently arrived in Singapore from Shanghai's Pudong Airport and was due to depart for Hong Kong
Meanwhile. the airline has given a statement that maintenance work was being carried out to rectify a defect, and the gear retracted during the subsequent system check and there were no passengers or crew on board at the time.
