Google Explains WhyThey Have Changed Their Logo Again

In case you didn't know, Google made a major change to their logo yesterday. Although it still has the same color scheme, the typeface is of a new font type which is Sans-seriff and thicker. This new branding replaces the last Google logo which the company has used since September 2013.

In a blog post announcing the change, Google's Tamar Yehoshua and Bobby Nath said the former Google logo was originally built for a single desktop browser page but they have now updated it for a seamless computing across an endless number of devices.

In addition to the new static logo, Google created an animated set of four dots that show up when a Google product is processing. There is also a new multicolored "G" logo for places where the whole company name won't fit.

Although they say the only constant thing in life is change, this will be Google's 6th logo since the company launched in 1998.
