Nigeria's Track & Field Athlete, Blessing Okagbare Gets Banned From Athletic Groups

Things are definitely getting ugly for Nigerian queen of tracks, Blessing Okagbare as she has been banned by the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).

This is due to her appearance at the Zurich Diamond League last week a few days after she failed to run for Nigeria in the 200m event at the just concluded IAAF World Championship in Beijing, China.

Although she claimed an injury as the reason for not turning up that day, she went on to announce that she will not be representing Team Nigeria for the 11th All Africa Games in Congo, an action which AFN and NSC finds unpatriotic.
