IGP, Solomon Arase Bans Police From Using Commercial Vehicles For Police Duties

The use of commercial vehicles for police operations have been banned by the Inspector-General of Police, IG, Solomon Arase.

He made this known this week in a circular directing that all police commands and formations should immediately stop the use of commercial vehicles and those painted in the states’ commercial colors for police operations and patrol duties.

According to reports, this is because of the negative consequences associated with such practices and from complains by members of the public.
