WAEC Releases May/June SSCE Results As Only 38% Pass English & Maths

The May/June 2015 Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE results have finally been released and only 38.68% of the candidates had credit pass in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics which qualifies them for admission into tertiary institution.

Announcing the results earlier today, the WAEC Head of National Office, Charles Eguridu, said only 616,370 candidates passed these subjects out of the 1,593,442 that sat for the examination.

He however said this is still a slight improvement in the results from previous years as in 2013 it was 38.30% and last year it was 31.28%.

Meanwhile the results of candidates from 13 states were withheld for failure to pay the registration fees for the examinations.
