President Buhari Sets Up Committee To Help Tackle Corruption


Corruption continues to be a major problem in Nigeria and to help tackle this, President Buhari has constituted a committee to advise him.

According to reports from This Day newspaper, the 7 member committee will be formally inaugurated today in Abuja to assist the President on the way forward.

Members of this committee have been drawn majorly from the academia and they include, Professor Femi Odekunle, a professor of Criminology at the Ahmadu Bello University; Dr. (Mrs) Benedicta Daudu of the University of Jos; Professor Etannibi Alamika, a professor of Criminology and Sociology from the University of Jos; and Professor Sadia Radda also a professor of Criminology.

Professor Itse Sagay (SAN), a professor of Law; Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, also a professor of Law at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies; and Mrs. Hadiza Bala Usman also make up the list.
