Music competition show, X Factor have cancelled auditions of the new season scheduled for today following the death of judge, Simon Cowell's mother .
The 89 year old died yesterday and reports say Simon is devastated as his mum, Julie, was the most beloved person in his life and they were incredibly close.
Simon Cowell is known for his harsh criticisms on the show and this side of him just shows that he was always a mama's boy.
A new date for the auditions is yet to be announced and the auditions are expected to be attended by Cowell and fellow judges Rita Ora, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, as well as new presenters Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
