Contrary to the allegations that the APC are behind the ongoing investigation of Senate president Bukola Saraki's wife, a shocking twist has developed as the PDP are actually claiming to be behind it.
According to reports from the Daily Post, this was made known in a statement released yesterday by the Kwara state chapter of the PDP saying they wrote the petition against Mrs Toyin Saraki.
The statement by its spokesperson, Rex Olawoye, reads thus:
“It has become imperative to inform the members of the public that we have every reason to believe that a petition recently submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kwara state chapter is largely responsible for the invitation and eventual criminal prosecution of the former Kwara First Lady and wife of the Senate President, Mrs. Toyin Saraki.
The statement further iterates different allegations against Toyin Saraki and they urged the EFCC to carry out a thorough investigation.
