Nyesom Wike Of Rivers Promises U23 Team $30,000 Per Goal In Nigeria Congo Match

With anticipation as regards the upcoming match between Nigeria's U23 team and Congo which is set to hold in Rivers state, Governor Nyesom Wike has promised the players the sum of $100,000 if they win.

He made this promise when he led some members of the State’s executive council to pay the team a morale -boosting visit, clarifying that the sum of $30,000 would be paid for every goal and $100,000 if they score three goals

According to him, the Government of Rivers State is hosting this game to show the world that the Adokiye Amiesieamaka stadium, which is the venue of the match, is indeed a world class one.

The match is expected to kick off at 4pm this Sunday, 19th of July, but fans have been asked to start arriving by 11am.
