To address gender equality issues, Facebook has made some slight modifications in their friends icon in the upper right corner of the page.
The former icon featured a male silhouette in front of a smaller female one but now, the new icon shows the woman in front of the man, and the two silhouettes are the same size.
Furthermore, the new "Groups" icon now shows a woman between two men unlike the former where a man was in the center, between another man and a woman.
However, active users may need to strain their eyes to see the social network's subtle new design change.
Facebook design manager, Caitlin Winner, confirmed this changes have been implemented on Facebook platforms around the world.
