It is the era of endorsements in Nigeria’s entertainment industry as telecom companies continue to endorse artists and actors as brand ambassadors.
For Globacom network, they have signed on 28 artistes which include 9 new ambassadors and 19 old ones whose contracts were renewed.
According to reports, this signing is so far the biggest endorsement deal by any corporate organisation in Nigeria and is expected to signal a huge boost to entertainment industry as the selected artistes cut across Nollywood, comedy and music industries.
Company sources indicate that the new ambassadors are Wizkid, Ayo Makun (AY), Bovi Ugboma, OC Ukeje, Patience Ozokwo (Mama G), Odunlade Adekola, Koredo Bello, Reekado Banks and Dija.
The 19 ambassadors who had their contracts renewed include D’Banj, PSquare, Flavour, M.I, Wande Coal, Omawumi Megbele, Bez Idakula, Burna Boy, Ego Ogbaro, Sammie Okposo ,Sani Danja, Basketmouth, Ini Edo, Funke Akindele Helen Paul, Ime Bishop Umoh, Mr. Ibu, Chiwetalu Agu and popular newscaster, Bimbo Oloyede.
