Twitter boss, Dick Costolo resigns as CEO after 6 years of handling the helm of affairs.
He says this is a voluntary move despite the fact that Wall Street has been calling for him to step down over the past year following Twitter's struggle to add new members and generate more revenue from its ad products.
However, Dick Costolo says he is proud of all that the team has accomplished together during his 6 years and his resignation is effective from the 1st of July.
Reports from CNN indicate that Twitter chairman, Jack Dorsey will be the interim CEO while they search for a new leader.
