Its good news for independent musicians (indie artistes) everywhere as Apple Music has reversed its payment policy just a day after singer Taylor Swift refused to allow the company stream her album, 1989.
According to her, she was not happy with the three-month free trial offered to subscribers saying it was unfair to the artists.
Although the 25 year old said Apple is one of her best partners in selling music, their 3 months free policy is a long time for an artist to go unpaid and not get any compensation.
In reaction to this, Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Software & Services, Eddy Cue, replied that the company has changed its stance and will now pay indie artistes during the initial 3 months.
Taylor Swift has responded as to how happy she is with this development. Meanwhile, Apple Music is set to launch on the 30th of June.
