Many women, (myself included) don't like being called fat, we prefer being referred to as plump or big-boned. However, for Plus-size body activist Tess Holliday who is a British size 26, being called fat is no big deal as it is just a word.
The 29 year old super model who has been able to break the industry norm of stick thin models, says she was always made fun of as a little child and had to learn how to deal with criticism.
Tess made history earlier this year by becoming the first model of her size to be signed by a top agency, the British company Milk Model Management and has been named by Vogue Italia as one of the world's most influential plus-size models
She also over one million likes on Facebook and 800,000 followers on Instagram and is using her growing popularity to help change the standard beauty ideals.
