Katy Perry is currently engaged in a legal battle with a group of nuns at Immaculate Heart of Mary for buying the convent they live at for 14.5 Million Dollars.
According to reports from Daily Mail, the problem with the sale is that Katy Perry bought the Los Feliz, California, property from Archbishop Jose Gomez, but the nuns are claiming they had already accepted an offer for the estate more from somebody else.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the five remaining sisters at the convent sold the property for to a restaurateur, Dana Hollister just two weeks ago before learning that Archbishop Gomez had also sold the property to Katy, claiming that the sisters had no rights to the estate.
However, the Archbishop said he has signed papers from three of the five remaining inhabitants of the convent giving him the power to decide who gets the property but the nuns are claiming they signed those papers under duress.
