Political Drama: Bukola Saraki Becomes Senate President!

With the inauguration of the National Assembly currently ongoing in Abuja, former Governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki, has emerged unopposed as Senate President.

He was nominated by Sani Yerima and seconded by Dino Melaye.

Bukola Saraki of the APC, defeated his party’s preferred candidate, Ahmed Lawan, to emerge the Senate president and according to reports has been sworn into office immediately.

 Meanwhile, Senator Ike Ekwerenmadu has been elected as the Deputy Senate President.
