Governor Ambode Says 2nd Lekki-Epe Expressway Will Be Toll-Free

Prior to taking over as Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode made it known that his administration would be that of continuity of his predecessor but it seems like there will be a slight twist to this.

This is because he is assuring Lagosians that tolls will not be collected at the second toll point on the Lekki- Epe Expressway currently being worked on as opposed to the first one.

Governor Ambode this assurance at an interactive session with newsmen at the Banquet Hall of the Lagos House, Ikeja, yesterday.

According to reports, his major concern is to make sure the road is completed as soon as possible as there are plans to have an International Airport in Epe, an Export Processing Zone in Lekki and a Deep Seaport also in Lekki.

There are also plans to create a 10-lane road between Ikorodu, Itoikin, Epe and Ijebu Ode so that people can go out from there which will in turn help business activities in the state boom.
