2nd Shawshank Prisoner Who Escaped Finally Caught After 3 Weeks Manhunt!

Residents of New York can finally heave a sigh of relief as more than 3 weeks after escaping from the Shawshank Prison, the 2nd inmate and murderer, David Sweat, has finally been caught.

According to reports from CNN, a New York State Police sergeant, Jay Cook found him running very close to the Canadian border about 16 miles north of the location where fellow escapee Richard Matt was killed last week.

The officer chased after the escaped prisoner who was dressed in camouflage and shot him twice to prevent his escape.

He was transported to the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone and later moved to Albany Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition, according to Dennis McKenna, the medical director there.

Speaking on this development, the Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, says the nightmare is finally over. David Sweat was imprisoned at the Clinton Correctional Facility for shooting dead an officer who pursued him after a robbery he committed.

However, while behind bars, Sweat and Matt cozied up to a prison tailor and a guard who allegedly brought them tools, which they used to cut their way through multiple barriers and underground passageways which led to their escape through a manhole in the middle of a street like a scene from a movie.
