The "Telemundo" series in the political terrain in Nigeria continues as President Goodluck Jonathan suspends the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danjuma Sheni, over the recent recall of Nigeria’s envoys to South Africa without due authorization.
According to reports from the Daily Post, there had been a recall of Nigeria's acting High Commissioner in Pretoria, Martin Cobham, and the deputy High Commissioner in Johannesburg, Uche Ajulu-Okeke, in protest of the ongoing xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
Meanwhile in reaction to this recall, South Africa’s foreign affairs spokesperson, Clayson Monyela, said his country is shocked that the Nigerian government would resort “to such an extraordinary diplomatic step to express outrage at actions or behavior of another government.
Hmnn.....recall or not, we say NO to Xenophobia! #Dazall
