One Month After Elections, Students Of Lasu Beg State Government To Re-open Their School

Its been over a month since the elections in Nigeria and the Lagos State University, LASU, is yet to re-open the school to students.

The management of the institution had on the 25th of March, 2015 shut down the school in a statement titled ‘Election recess,’ where the students and workers were asked to vacate the university premises, stating that a resumption date will be announced later on.

Meanwhile, the students are now pleading with the school management and the Lagos State Governor to please re-open the university so that they can continue with their academic activities.

The Public Relations Officer of LASU student union, Adebanjo Fatai, lamented that the state government and the varsity management are treating the reopening of the institution with levity.
