Sorry Lagosians, but this is for those that reside and work in Yobe state as their Governor Ibrahim Gaidam has approved today, Thursday 5th February and Friday 6th February 2015 as public holidays to enable workers across the State collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs.
However, in a statement from the office of the Special Adviser to the governor on Media, Abdullahi Bego, banks and other financial institutions operating in the State can open their doors for business during this period.
Meanwhile, the Governor urged all workers and people across the State who had not yet collected their PVCs to use the period to collect their cards as a step towards exercising their civic duty during the forthcoming elections.
