YABATECH Students Get 22 Day Holiday In Preparation Of General Election

In preparation of the upcoming general election in the country, the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, YABATECH, has directed its full-time and part-time students to proceed on a 22-day holiday to enable them to exercise their civic rights.

According to a statement by the Head, Public Relations Unit, Charles Oni, the holiday will start from February 11 and end on March 4.

During that time, hostels and lecture theatres would be under lock and key throughout the period.

However, there have been mixed reactions following the announcement as some students say the holiday would disrupt the second semester academic calendar.

Personally, I think it is all about being safety conscious so sorry guys, embrace this holiday with open arms biko.
