University Of Jos Re-opens School To Students In Preparation Of 23rd February Examinations


Its good news for students of University of Jos as the school management and officials of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)  has considered the appeal by the student leaders.

In a statement signed by the Registrar/Secretary to Senate, Jilli-Dandam, there will be a surcharge payment of N6,000 which is to cover the cost of damages and other expenses incurred by the University as a result of the recent students’ demonstration.

The suspension order on the 16 former officials of the dissolved Students’ Union has also been lifted immediately and they would now be allowed to sit for the Second Semester Examinations.

All returning students are also expected to sign an undertaking to be of good behavior. The form, which can be accessed via www.unijos.edu.ng, must be completed and signed before a Commissioner of Oath in a competent Court of Law.

Meanwhile, UNIJOS Second Semester Examinations will commence on the 23rd February, 2015 as earlier scheduled and all Halls of residence and Hostels will be opened to Students who have complied with the above conditions on the 21st February, 2015.
