As a means of reducing the rate of unemployment and alleviating poverty, the Abia State government has given out vehicles free of charge to the youths of Ikwuano Local Government Area.
According to Governor Theodore Orji, the gesture was to create jobs, reduce idleness and crime as well as enhance the standard of living and minimize accidents associated to the use of motorcycles popularly known as Okada.
Meanwhile, he says it is a continuous empowerment strategy and will cut across all the 17 local government areas in the state.
