As the elections draw closer, President Goodluck Jonathan has taken time out of his busy schedule to pay a surprise visit to soldiers in Maiduguri yesterday on the occasion of Nigeria’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day. He also took time out to thank them for their patriotic and courageous service to the nation.
He also visited soldiers who got injured while fighting Boko Haram insurgents at NA 7 Division Medical Services Centre & Hospital.
Meanwhile he was accompanied by the Borno state Governor, Kashim Shettima, to also visit the Internally Displaced Persons Camp in Pompomari.
However, there have been backlash all over social media at this visit which some people say is coming too late. What do you think?
