According to reports from This Day newspaper, Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, says the federal government has shut down the official website of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The governor, who is the Chairman of the Buhari-Osinbajo Campaign Fund, made this known while unveiling the fund raising strategy for the presidential campaign of the party.
Speaking at a news conference at the Lagos House, Marina, alongside other members of the campaign fund, Fashola lamented the intolerant disposition of the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
He said the party’s internet domain name, www.apc.com.ng, which promotes Nigeria, has been shut down, making them come up with another website which is www.apcgmbpyo.org. which will serve as the internet platform for the party fund raising and other activities.
At the conference, the governor unveiled the various diverse platforms the committee had devised to raise funds to finance the presidential campaign of General Muhammadu Buhari and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
Donors can make payments using customized tellers at any branch of 5 designated banks where the Buhari-Osinbajo accounts are domiciled.
He added that the committee has also partnered MTN, Glo, Etisalat, Airtel and Visafone, through which the party supporters could make as low as N100 donation to support the Buhari-Osinbajo presidential project by downloading ring tones or sending premium text messages to designated numbers or purchasing a recharge card.
