There has been a redeployment of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Joseph Mbu, from Abuja to Zone 2 Police Command, which covers Lagos and Ogun state commands.
This was confirmed yesterday in a statement released yesterday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu.
Joseph Mbu, came into prominence following his battle with the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, last year and will now take over from Umaru Manko, who has been moved to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Plateau State.
According to the statement, the redeployment of Mbu and other AIGs was part of the ongoing re-organization in the Nigeria Police Force by the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba.
