Tiwa Savage, Banky W & Iyanya Join Other African Musicians For We Are The World Song For Ebola

It is indeed great to know that African musicians are doing a massive collaboration of a new version of the popular song, We Are The World originally written by Micheal Jackson and Lionel Ritchie.

Nigerian artistes like Banky W,  Dr. Sid, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Praiz, Di’Ja, Reekado Banks, D’Prince, Iyanya, Mosa, Kcee, Harrysong and Sean Tizzle have joined their African counterparts like, Mafikizolo, Iceberg Slim, Diamond, and many more for this latest collaboration. 

This coming together is to create a song as solidarity in the fight against the dreaded Ebola virus which has been ravaging many parts of Africa.

We Are the World, is a song and charity single originally recorded by the supergroup USA for Africa in 1985 and it was produced by Quincy Jones . The song became one of the all time hit singles to have sold at least 10 Million copies worldwide.

I sure can't wait to hear this African version....thumbs up to whoever came up with this idea.
