Yesterday was the movie premiere of Selma, a movie produced by 60 year old Oprah Winfrey and 50 year old Brad Pitt.
Amongst those that turned up for the event was 72 year old legendary singer, Aretha Franklin who also bought her swag to the red carpet in New York.
Selma is a movie which focuses on the civil right marches that occurred in the Alabama community during the 1960's led by Martin Luther King Jr.
Just last week, the movie was nominated for 2 awards in the Best Drama and Best Director categories for the Golden Globes Awards.
