11 Year Old Quvenzhané Wallis Gets Golden Globe Awards Nomination


Nominations have been announced for the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards which is a ceremony that has a history of predicting the movies that will win big on Oscar night. 

11 year old Quvenzhané Wallis has scored a  nomination for Best Actress in a musical or comedy film for her titular role in Annie.

The talented Quvenzhané made Academy Award history at age 9 when she became the youngest actress ever to receive an Oscar nomination as Hushpuppy in the 2012 drama, Beasts of the Southern Wild.


Meanwhile, Birdman, starring Michael Keaton is leading with 7 nominations which was revealed by actress Kate Beckinsale yesterday in Beverly Hills.

The dramas, Boyhood and The Imitation Game followed with 5 nominations each while the thriller, Gone Girl earned an impressive 4 nods, including Best Actress in a drama for Rosamund Pike, Best Score, Best Screenplay and Best Director.

The annual Golden Globe Awards will be presented at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the 11th of January (which happens to be my birthday) and will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
