US Restricts Travellers From Ebola Prone Countries To Specific Airports

Just as we here in Nigeria are rejoicing over being declared Ebola Free by the World Health Organisation, WHO, stringent steps are being taken against other West African countries still experiencing the outbreak.

Starting from today, travelers arriving from Ebola-affected African countries to the US are being restricted to some specific airports that have been specially equipped to screen for the Ebola disease.

According to Sahara Reporters, the US Department of Homeland Security made this announcement and the airports are:  New York’s John F. Kennedy, Washington's Dulles, Chicago's O'Hare, New Jersey's Newark airport or Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airports.

However, only travelers from Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea will be affected by the new measures that the US government has put in place as steps to help prevent travelers from bringing the Ebola virus into the US.
