Making a cover of someone else’s hit song has often been a way for a new act to get heard and recognised. But what happens when an all time GREAT musician makes a cover of another very good singer's song?
Well that's what happened when American legendary singer, Aretha Franklin recorded her own version of British singer Adele's song, Rollin In The Deep.
72 year old Aretha Franklin showcases her world famous powerful vocals on 26 year old Adele's song in her latest project titled, Aretha Franklin Sings The Great Diva Classics.
She will also be reworking hits by Gloria Gaynor(I Will Survive), Barbara Streisand(People),Sinéad O’Connor(Nothing Compares To You) and others on the forthcoming album.
I think she did a great job with Adele's song which was released in 2010...take a listen and what say ye?
