A 24 year old aspiring model, Jade Blinco, has been left scarred for life by a dentist’s drill that overheated and burnt through her lip.
Jade had gone to the dentist at Birmingham City Hospital to have two wisdom teeth removed but unfortunately no one noticed that the drill was too hot and had burnt her lip.
The National Health Service (NHS) has however admitted that that the injury could have been prevented and are negotiating an out of court settlement with Jade which she says she will use for plastic surgery to improve the appearance of her lip.
She said she has had to quit her job as a nursery worker because her face was scaring the children.
