Manchester United Still Doing Well Financially

Despite finishing seventh in the Premier League and sacking David Moyes, English Professional Football Club, Manchester United still continues to thrive commercially. They have announced a 19% rise in their annual revenue to 433 Million Pounds!!(I have since stopped trying to convert that to Naira)

This could be related to the huge 750 Million Dollar deal they brokered with sports giant Adidas and the executive vice chairman, Ed Woodward said they are very proud of the result received this 2014 fiscal year.

With Louis van Gaal at the helm as manager, and the recent signing of some of the world’s leading players to further strengthen their squad, they seem very excited about the future and believe it’s the start of a new chapter in the club’s history.

Manchester United invested around 150 Million Pounds on new players during the close-season transfer window, including a British-record 59.7 Million Pounds for Argentina international winger Angel di Maria.

They also revealed that United paid out 5.2 Million Pounds in compensation to former manager David Moyes, who was dismissed in April, and some members of his coaching staff.

However, Manchester United are still without a win after three Premier League games this season and were knocked out of the League Cup following a 4-0 loss to third-tier Milton Keynes Dons.
