It seems the September 22nd resumption date for Primary and Secondary school pupils might be postponed again. This is if the objections by the Nigerian Medical Association(NMA) is taken seriously.
Yesterday the NMA faulted the Federal Government’s directive for schools to resume this month saying that schools should not be re-opened until all those under surveillance for the Ebola Virus Disease in the country are certified free.
The National Secretary General,Dr Olawunmi Alayaki on behalf of the association said schools should be shut till the last suspected case or patient in Nigeria is certified free of the virus. The NMA is suggesting that resumption of schools should be shifted till December or the early part of next year.
Hmnnn….I don’t think I support that next year date but maybe October wont be a bad idea.
What say ye?
