In a case of ‘The Rich Also Cry’,a Federal High Court has ordered 20
commercial banks in Nigeria not to honor any withdrawal request from Sani
Dangote.

Alhaji Sani Dangote is the younger brother of billionaire business mogul,Aliko Dangote
and this order is to be in effect till 11th of September 2014 as
directed by trial judge Justice Okon Abang.
The banks are Access Bank, CITI Bank, Diamond Bank, Ecobank, Enterprise
Bank, Fidelity Bank, First Bank, First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Guaranty
Trust Bank (GTB), Heritage Bank, Keystone Bank, Mainstreet Bank, Skye Bank,
Stanbic IBTC, Standard Chartered Bank, Sterling Bank, United Bank for Africa
(UBA), Unity Bank, Wema Bank and Zenith Bank.
According to reports,this comes just as Union Bank sues Dangote and his companies over
alleged failure to liquidate about 5 Billion Naira debt despite repeated demands.
There were also indications that Zenith Bank specifically said Dangote was
indebted to the bank to the tune of about 7 million Euros.
