Coping with loneliness

Being single again is not exactly a walk in the park especially when you are a people person or used to having someone around you.The fact of life is that you might be good looking,have a great job,lots of friends,intelligent,funny and interesting but find it very hard and difficult being single again.

When i say being single again i mean you have been in a relationship maybe a long term one either though marriage or just courtship stage and suddenly you guys break-up.It could also come about through getting dumped,separation,divorce or even death!

Whatever the situation,being single again is as much a state of mind as it is a state of relationship.Being single is not bad in itself but what is bad is losing hope that one will never find anyone worth loving again.The truth is some people might like the fact that they are single again,i know some friends that are married and envy my state of being separated.While for some other people suddenly being single again seems like a nightmare they wish they could wake up from.A case of different strokes for different folks.

For me personally i have some good days and some bad days where am in a state of serious loneliness where i just crave having someone there.Not even in terms of sex but just having a man that cares,takes me out,calls me up just generally loves me to pieces.You would think after being married for seven years to a man that was barely at home i would have learned to be alone or to be used to loneliness.But no, the way God has created us we often time crave that human touch.

Am born again and believe so much in the unconditional love that Christ has for me but the bible even says its not good for man to be alone.So daily i pray to God to strengthen me and give me grace to carry on because trust me temptation comes and i do fall from time to time but have learnt its better to wait for the real deal from God than to force it yourself due to the emotions you might be going through.
