To the glory of God, Nigeria marked another year of Independence, the 55th to be exact and it went by on a positive note with celebrations here and there. The majorly sad part though was the fact that the day after all these festivities happened to be a work day but then, it is what it is....be grateful you even have a job to go to! Lol
I also celebrated the Independence with at a fun filled free concert organised by my darling station, City 105.1FM at the Ikeja City Mall popularly called Shoprite.
The event tagged Salute To The Flag 2015, was indeed a glamorous affair with so many people turning up to have fun and different artistes on hand to perform and thrill everyone.
There was so much excitement in the air and people were just generally happy to be there and the children were not left out as well and in fact one of them, a 12 year old actually won a land gift courtesy of CityFm. The land is located in Agbara and the boy's father was just in shock and could barely even express his joy at this huge surprise.
A big shout out to my colleagues who also went a long way in making sure that it was worth every one's while
In all, the event was a huge success and my prayer is that Nigeria will continue to grow stronger and better in the coming years but please remember that Nigeria is you and me so do your part in making it a great nation!
