Rescue agencies in Kaduna are having a tough time trying to rescue people from their homes following rains that led to heavy flooding in the state yesterday.
So far, about 2000 houses have been submerged flowing last night's rain in the Kaduna metropolis which has led to hundreds of families being displaced as their homes have been taken over by water while many others were trapped in their homes.
The spokesman of Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA , Abubakar Adamu Zakari, said it has been a very hectic period and they are intensifying their efforts to reach out to all affected places.
Some of the areas affected by the flooding include, Barnawa, Anwagwan Rimi, Kigo Road, Kabala Constain, Rafi Guza, Kudendan, Angwan Dosa and Karatudu. However, the actual casualty figure is yet to be ascertained.
