Former President of Nigeria and elder statesman, Olusegun Obasanjo is stamping himself as an author of sorts as he just launched a children’s story book on peace to celebrate the 2015 International Day of Peace. This follows the success of his book, My Watch.
The 14-page booklet is illustrated with various cartoons and was launched at an event held at Abeokuta, Ogun State in the presence of pupils from different secondary schools in the state. Obasanjo said it has become imperative to sow the seeds of peace in the minds of children whose minds were more receptive to ideas.
Peace Story For Children is to tell children how they can be part of peace-making in their homes; peace-making with their friends, peace-making in their schools and peace-making nationally.
