What? You mean there were no surveillance cameras in prisons all this time?
According to the Federal Ministry of Interior Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Magaji, surveillance cameras are to be installed in prisons to check cases of jailbreaks in the country.
He made this known to newsmen yesterday in Abuja and said the cameras would help in monitoring unusual movement of prisoners or those who might want to cause social discontent in the prisons.
