Diplomatic & Official Passports Withdrawn On Federal Government Order

In a statement signed by Yusuf Isiaka, the Director of Press, Federal Ministry of Interior, the Federal Government has asked the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, to retrieve  all valid diplomatic and official passports from all persons who are not entitled to hold such documents.


According to reports from the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, this became necessary after the attention of the Federal Government had been drawn to the fact that some Nigerians who are not entitled to hold diplomatic and official passports are in possession of these documents.

This measure is supposedly to protect and promote Nigeria’s integrity in addition to ensuring law and order.
