46 Year Old Man Risks Losing His Hand For Trying To Take Selfie With A Snake

The quest for an adventurous selfie has put Alex Gomez in hospital with the risk of losing his hand from a snake bite. 

36 year old Alex was bitten on Monday when he picked up a rattlesnake at his family's ranch in Lake Elsinore, a community about 60 miles southeast of Los Angeles and tried to pose and take a selfie with it when the snake bit him.

According to his mother, Deborah while speaking with TV station KCBS  there are indications that he might lose his hand despite being treated with anti-venom after being rushed to the hospital as the skin on his hand and arm is now rotting.

His mom is so angry that her son could have been so stupid as the snake could have bitten his neck rather than his arm.
