Almost 20 years after the first Mission Impossible movie in 1996, actor, Tom Cruise is still making the franchise rock as the 5th installment raked in 56 Million Dollars at the box office over the weekend.

Mission Impossible :Rogue nation made this impressive amount in US cinemas thereby setting a great opening and the third largest opening for Tom, following 2004's War of the Worlds, which earned 64.9 Million Dollars, and 2000's Mission: Impossible 2, which brought in 57.8 Million Dollars.

The movie was one of the rare big budget films, with a 150 Million Dollar price tag and the first four Mission Impossible films have grossed over 2 Billion Dollars internationally.
