Well, that is the reason a certain Mrs Cynthia Igwe gave at an Igando Customary Court in Lagos for wanting to end her 6 year marriage to her husband, Emmanuel Igwe.
Below are her exact words:
"My husband is stingy and selfish, he does not give me money for food, he goes to market to buy foodstuff himself and then gives me to cook"
This was her primary reason before adding his drinking habit and abusive tendencies which she says has been very embarrassing for her and their 3 children.
However, her husband denies these allegations and says he is also fed up with the marriage and wants out.
On hearing both sides of the story, the president of the court, Hakeem Oyekan, has adjourned the case till the 13th of July for judgment.
