There has been so much controversy since award winning rapper, Jay Z launched his high definition music streaming service, Tidal about 3 months ago.
The recent news is that the CEO of Tidal, Peter Tonstad has now quit! He made this known yesterday while refusing to give any particular reason despite just holding that position for less than 3 months.
According to reports, Tidal seems to be struggling despite the high profile launch in March. Even their customer base is still quite low as the CIO, Vania Schlogel said the service has about 800,000 subscribers in comparison with rival streaming service, Spotify which reportedly has 20 million paid subscribers, as well as another 55 million people who use its free streaming service.
Hmnnn.....should they just throw in the towel or what?
