A few days ago I wrote about our last minute mentality in Nigeria and this Bank Verification Number, BVN registration proves me right.
Today is the official deadline given by the Central bank Of Nigeria, CBN, for registration and of course, many Nigerians are right now rushing to their various banks to get it done.
The queues are so bad that the bank management of a particular UBA branch had to rent canopies and chairs to contain the crowd! In another First Bank branch in Ijegun area, the long queue has even spilled on to the road!
If you are yet to register, please make sure you do so now. I wish you good luck though, just be prepared to spend a loooong time at the bank because no one knows if CBN will extend the deadline. #Sorry
